Part 3: This is My Life

I put people and my dog as my "This is My Life" pictures because the people surrounding me make me who I am today. I also mentioned school by some of the photos that I included because school is important to me and it influences me in a big way. But over all my friends and family are my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Storybook

One day when I was driving around and I was wearing my favorite white scarf I thought to myself... WHAT WILL I DO TODAY?!

So of course, because it was raining I decided I had to go on a walk and on the way home, near my house there are some rocks. In the rocks small pools of water were forming and it made me wish that I had a frog to had fun in the rain with me.

But I continued no without a frog of my own by my side and came across some lovely flowers. The first I came across while wondering were some beautiful white Easter Lilies. Even though they were incredibly beautiful they also smelled incredibly...strong. So I continued on.

I next came across some very pretty purple and pink flowers. They were really quite cool looking but then I realized I couldn't smell them. They were FAKE FLOWERS. Even though they were very pretty, they weren't real.

Next on my journey I came back to my house and I realized that outside of my house there were new flowers out side. They were my favorite colors they smelled just right and I just loved them!
So I rushed inside to tell my mom. Then I headed to bed after dinner! THE END. :)

"My Photos"

The main subject of this picture is the closest tree. I took this picture because the scene looked really empty and depressing and just hollow and when I took it, it gave me an emotion that showed me that it wasn't just another picture to me. I knew it was going to be one of my favorites. The contrast of this picture makes the main subject stand out because it is the largest and darkest place in the picture. The elements of design that make this 'work' are that I used the rule of thirds to place the tree and the leading lines of the road and then the whole thing is black and white with a little bit of contrast to make the whole hollowness and depression of the picture come together. This photo could probably be cropped to take a little more on the right side because it has a little bit too much business on that side for the mood I was setting for the picture.

The main subject is the reflection of the doll. I took this picture because I wanted cool way to do my reflection picture and when I thought of this doll I knew this would be a good way. This doll has sentimental value and means a lot to me I think that is another reason this is one of my favorites. The focus of this picture makes the main subject stand out because even though it seems like the closest doll would be the main subject, the reflection is what is actually in focus. The elements of design that make this 'work' are that I used the rule of thirds to place the doll and its reflection and the leading lines of the mirror's edge and then the whole focus thing because that really helps to show which is really the main subject and which is not. I probably could have put the doll on something other than my flower box that I have in my bathroom that is purple and green. I probably should have put it on something that was white or black to bring the main focus back to the doll.

The main subject is the blanket in the backseat of this car. I took this picture because I thought that the blanket looked really really pretty in the lighting and it matters to me because it looks to me like someone is living out of their car or something, like there are so many things to interpret from the picture. The lighting of this picture makes the main subject stand out because it makes some parts of it dark and some parts of it light and that makes it really interesting. The elements of design that make this 'work' are that I used the rule of thirds to place the blanket in the picture and also the adjusting of the aperture and shutter speed to get the lighting the way that I liked on the blanket. I probably could have moved the blanket around so it was more spread out and not just in a big wad in my friend's backseat.
